Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) has reported a 1.2 percent return for the fiscal year due to relative outperformance in the real estate and non-U.S. equity portfolios, combined with an overweight to the core fixed income allocation.
According to a performance report from June, KRS’ investment portfolio saw a 1 percent return, surpassing its benchmark of 0.7 percent. The portfolio benefitted from its relative outperformance in the non-U.S. equity and Core fixed income segments, in combination with the significant underweight position to the real return category, which fell -1.6 percent during the month. However, the portfolio’s relative outperformance was partially offset by weaker performance in the real estate and specialty credit portions of the portfolio.
