KDC Partnership and California-based artificial intelligence (AI)-factory builder Eagle Mountain Data (EMDI) has announced that KDC has acquired a 10 percent stake in the company. The partnership is intended to provide growth capital to accelerate the development of Eagle Mountain’s 1,000-megawatt portfolio of AI factories across the continental United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, KDC will retain the right to acquire an additional 30 percent ownership stake in the company. The existing Eagle Mountain Data management team will retain full control of all day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making, ensuring continuity in the execution of the current development pipeline. Together with KDC, the company will be able to expand and incorporate additional sustainable and renewable technologies as part of its core offering.
