Kayne Anderson Midstream/Energy Fund announces name change

by Kali Persall

As outlined in a strategic update given in July, Kayne Anderson Midstream/Energy Fund has changed its name to Kayne Anderson NextGen Energy & Infrastructure.

Kayne Anderson NextGen Energy & Infrastructure is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The fund seeks to provide a high level of total return with an emphasis on making cash distributions to its stockholders by investing at least 80 percent of its total assets in securities of energy companies and infrastructure companies.

The fund anticipates the majority of its investments will consist of investments in next generation energy companies and infrastructure companies that are participating in the energy transition.

The fund will begin trading under its new name on the New York Stock Exchange on Sept. 29 under the same ticker symbol, KMF.
