Jupiter Power, a battery storage developer, has received approval from state officials for its Trimount battery energy storage system (BESS) in Everett, Mass.
The Trimount Bess has capacity for 700 megawatts and 2,800 megawatt hours. Jupiter Power will also develop two substations and underground transmission lines. The facility will feature inverters and medium voltage power stations connected to the BESS. This project will connect to the electricity grid through a interconnected substation.
The site of development has a history of harsh impacts from fossil fuels, so this project will be created with cleaner, sustainable solutions, to offset prior damage.
