Joseph Wutkowski joins Google to focus on data center acquisitions and development

Joseph Wutkowski has taken up a new role within Google’s data center acquisitions and development team. He will be based in New York City and will focus on securing land, power and infrastructure to support Google's global network of data centers.

Wutkowski was most recently at GI Partners, where he served as vice president, data center investments. During his three-year stint at GI Partners, his primary focus was on two key investment vehicles — TechCore and ETS — which drove capital deployment and long-term growth initiatives.

TechCore is a core investment vehicle established in partnership with CalPERS. This vehicle focused on acquiring data centers and other technology-advantaged properties, capitalizing on the increasing demand for data and connectivity. The ETS Fund is a $1.45 billion open-end core-plus vehicle focused on investing in data centers and other mission-critical real estate.
