John Laing Group has appointed Ben Loomes as CEO, effective May 8. He will replace Olivier Brousse, who announced plans to leave the company for a senior position at Veolia Group in January.
Loomes will bring 20 years of experience in the infrastructure sector to his new role. He previously served as managing partner and head of infrastructure at InfraRed Capital Partners.
Prior to that, he was the managing partner of 3i Group plc's infrastructure business and a member of the 3i Group executive committee.
“The board has conducted a thorough search process to find the best candidate and we are delighted to have attracted someone of Ben's caliber to lead the company,” said Will Samuel, chairman at John Laing. “On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Olivier for his valuable contribution to John Laing and he leaves with our very best wishes for the future.”
