Japan’s Marubeni Corp. has signed an agreement with Scottish Enterprise to collaborate for the decarbonization of Scotland through various renewable initiatives.
The partnership will expand floating offshore-wind business and establish an offshore-wind supply chain and a green-hydrogen value chain. This is in line with the Scottish government’s goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045.
Marubeni owns stakes in power projects across 19 countries, representing a total net capacity of about 12 gigawatts.
