James Byrne to focus on energy and infrastructure at KPMG U.K.

James Byrne has joined professional services firm KPMG U.K. as a partner within its debt advisory capability.

Byrne brings more than 18 years of corporate finance experience to the role. He has advised corporates, private equity, infrastructure funds and government on a variety of debt financing transactions, and has particular expertise in energy and infrastructure sectors.

Byrne was previously at Evercore, where he served as managing director for 10 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, he was an executive at Lexicon Partners and served as manager, corporate finance – infrastructure, government and utilities at PwC before that.

In his new role, Byrne will lead KPMG U.K.’s debt advisory capability in energy and infrastructure and also will provide additional senior leadership to the debt advisory function.
