Intermediate Capital Group closes debut Infrastructure fund at €1.5b

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has wrapped up fundraising for its debut Infrastructure fund, ICG Infrastructure Equity 1. The fund raised €1.5 billion ($1.7 billion) of commitments, surpassing its target of €1 billion ($1.1 billion) due to strong demand from a global client base.

The fund was backed by more than 40 clients across Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Canada.

ICG Infrastructure Equity 1 is pursuing a green generalist strategy in Western Europe, in line with U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. The fund will invest in sustainable infrastructure such as renewables, energy efficiency, fiber-optic networks, electric mobility and social infrastructure.
