Innova, one of the largest developers of renewable energy and data centers in the United Kingdom, has sold the Park Hill Energy Extension, a 12 megawatts peak solar development near Arbroath, Scotland, to AlphaReal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The project is an extension to Park Hill Solar, a 4 megawatts peak operational feed-in-tariff project that was acquired and optimised by Innova and sold to AlphaReal as part of the Innova Energy portfolio in 2022.
The project was awarded a contract for difference in allocation round six (AR6) in September 2024 alongside five of Innova’s other solar projects, providing long-term contracted and inflation-linked cashflows.
Innova has more than 50 distribution network operators and transmission connected sites under development or in operation across England and Wales, with a combined solar and storage capacity exceeding 8 gigawatts and more than 7 gigawatts of data centers.
