Innova sells 28MWp Ducklington Solar project to Schroders Greencoat

by Kali Persall

Innova has sold Ducklington Solar, a 27.5-megawatts-peak solar array in England, to Schroders Greencoat. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The site, based in Oxfordshire, secured planning consent in March 2022. Construction is due to commence in the first quarter 2025, with generation targeted for early 2026. Once energized, Ducklington Solar is anticipated to save approximately 11,600 tonnes of carbon per year.

Ducklington is Innova’s fifth solar project to be sold to Schroders Greencoat and represents more than 110 megawatts-peak within the investment partnership to date. The project was awarded a contract for difference in a sixth allocation round in September 2024.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce the divestment of our fifth project from our DNO pipeline to a Schroders Greencoat managed fund,” said Christian Miller, investment manager at Innova. “We look forward to working closely together in future as we build on our shared ambitions.
