International infrastructure asset manager InfraRed Capital Partners has been appointed by the board of Digital 9 Infrastructure (D9) as its new investment manager, to effect the company’s previously announced managed wind-down.
The appointment follows a competitive tender process and remains subject to regulatory approvals.
In March, D9 shareholders approved the managed wind-down of the London-listed investment trust. InfraRed has been tasked by the newly appointed D9 Board with the disposal of its five remaining digital infrastructure assets with the objective of maximizing shareholder value. The largest of these assets is an investment in Arqiva, which provides digital infrastructure, broadcast transmission and smart-meter facilities across the United Kingdom.
“We are pleased to welcome InfraRed as D9’s new investment manager and look forward to working with the team during the managed wind-down,” said Eric Sanderson, chairman of D9.
