Infranode, a long-term infrastructure investor with a particular focus on the Nordic countries, has acquired a Finnish social infrastructure portfolio comprising 13 social and healthcare service facilities from the city of Jyväskylä in Central Finland. The investment was valued at €84 million ($88 million).
The portfolio consists of two healthcare centers, five disabled-care units, five youth and child protection facilities and one elderly-care unit.
The transaction allows the city of Jyväskylä to focus on its core responsibilities and future investments, while Infranode enables purposeful facilities that support the extensive reformation of social and healthcare services in Finland.
Infranode said it sees future opportunities in the Nordic social infrastructure sector, and in Finland specifically, driven by the structural reform.
“Long-term investments in assets that are crucial for the society are in the core of Infranode’s expertise,” said
