Infranity and Omnes Capital have closed on a co-control stake in Power Capital Renewable Energy, an Irish independent power producer (IPP).
With a 230-megawatt operational fleet of solar PV, 330 megawatts under construction and a pipeline of solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) totaling more than 5 gigawatts, Power Capital is the largest solar IPP in Ireland. The company has established strong partnerships with major technology companies through corporate power-purchase agreements.
“Over the past four years, we have partnered closely with the Power Capital team as they built Ireland’s largest solar IPP,” said Jean-Baptiste Delattre, director at Omnes. “Today’s successful closing marks a significant milestone in that journey. This partnership strengthens the company’s ability to scale its portfolio, deepen its route-to-market strategy and accelerate delivery on its substantial pipeline at a pivotal moment for Ireland’s energy transition.”
