by Elise Mackanych

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has committed $250 million to infrastructure funds, including vehicles of JPMorgan and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.

Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund received $125 million for its open-end strategy investing in core, diversified infrastructure assets across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East.

JPMorgan Infrastructure Investments fund also received $125 million for its open-end, core-plus, value-added infrastructure fund that invests in renewable energy, water, natural gas, electric utilities and transportation in Europe and North America. In January, the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System committed $150 million to this fund.

IMRF, a public pension fund, had $61 million in total assets under management, as of March 31.
