Igneo Infrastructure Partners has conducted a strategic capital raise of A$400 million ($261 million) to support the growth of its Australian renewable-energy platform, Atmos Renewables.
Capital came from existing clients, including Cbus Super, MLC and AMP Super, via co-investments into Atmos.
The capital influx came in the form of the financial close of the 100-megawatt/400-megawatt-hour Merredin Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Western Australia and Atmos’ acquisition of the remaining interest in the 316-megawatt Hornsdale Wind Farm from Neoen Australia.
Igneo confirmed these additions expand Atmos’s portfolio to more than 1.5 gigawatts across 18 operational and under-construction projects in wind, solar and battery storage, with an additional 5 gigawatts under development.
