iCON Infrastructure Fund VII receives $150m from Virginia Retirement System

The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) committed $150 million to iCON Infrastructure Fund VII in May, according to a recent investment report.

iCON Infrastructure Partners VII, managed by iCON Infrastructure, is a closed-end commingled fund investing in middle-market infrastructure in Europe and North America. The fund has a $4 billion equity fundraising goal.

The previous fund in the series, iCON Infrastructure Partners VI, held its final close in 2022 at $3.6 billion, surpassing its initial target of $3 billion.

Other investors in Fund VII include the New Mexico State Investment Council, which committed $200 million to the fund in April, and the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, which committed up to $80 million in March.
