Berde Renewables, a Philippines-based renewable-energy developer and a portfolio company of I Squared Capital, has partnered with Sungrow Power (an inverter, energy storage and solar tech company) and its authorized regional distributor, Solar Hive, to help businesses in the Philippines and Thailand transition to cleaner, more reliable and more cost-efficient energy.
The partnership centers around a master framework agreement, under which Berde will procure 200 megawatts of solar inverters and 500 megawatt-hours of battery energy storage systems (BESS) throughout the next three years for projects across both markets.
Berde will tap Sungrow’s inverters, battery storage, EV charging and smart energy technologies, while Solar Hive will provide regional logistics, spare parts, technical support and after-sales service across the Philippines and Thailand.
