I Squared opens office in Munich, hires Yves Meyer-Bülow to lead it

by Kali Persall

I Squared Capital is expanding its European operations with the opening of a new office in Munich, its first in continental Europe. The firm also has appointed Yves Meyer-Bülow to lead the Munich office. He will join I Squared as a fund partner.

I Squared said the presence in Munich will strengthen long-term engagement in Germany and the whole of Europe and enable the firm to be closer to its existing portfolio companies, evaluate investment opportunities across the region and further connect with the financial services ecosystem in continental Europe.

Meyer-Bülow spent the past 25 years in various financial services roles. He began his career in 1999 at Goldman Sachs, where he built the European Business Services industry team within the investment banking division. In 2008 he moved to Allianz Capital Partners (ACP) and joined the direct investments team in Munich, later building ACP’s infrastructure funds and co-investments franchise as a managing director.
