Karim Ghannam has joined HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) as global head of real assets and head of alternatives, Singapore. He will report to Joanna Munro.
With more than 25 years of experience, Ghannam will be responsible for the strategic development and management of HSBC AM’s real assets proposition, which is made up of a suite of listed, direct and indirect real asset investment strategies. The real assets offering includes infrastructure and real estate.
Ghannam joins HSBC AM from 8F Asset Management, an impact-focused private equity fund manager that he co-founded in 2016 and was most recently CIO of Prior to that, Ghannam held a number of leadership roles in alternatives and private markets at global firms such as Deutsche Bank and Argan Capital.
