The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has launched a new containerized data center in the Maldives, according to Datacenter Dynamics.
The new facility will be operated under HDC’s SmartCom brand, which offers mobility, smart building and parking, and other connectivity solutions.
IREI understands the data center will be housed in an international intermodal shipping container that features a redundant battery backup system, along with an 80-kilowatt backup generator.
The data center will cater to small-to-medium enterprises at competitive rates.
