HMC Capital has acquired North American digital infrastructure platform StratCap for $28.5 million and established a new energy transition platform.

StratCap is a privately held, global alternative investment management platform focused on a wide range of digital economy investments with an emphasis on digital infrastructure, sustainability and technology-centric sectors. Since its founding, the firm has raised more than $5 billion in equity capital and participated in approximately $8 billion in capital deployed across a variety of sectors.

“Our first-half results are pleasing and reflect the growing momentum across our more diversified platform,” noted David Di Pilla, managing director and CEO of HMC. “We are incredibly excited about the growth potential we are now embedding into our platform and are confident that this platform can grow FUM well beyond $20 billion over the next few years.”
