HICL Infrastructure to sell stake in Northwest Parkway toll road project

by Kali Persall

HICL Infrastructure, a London-based investment firm managed by InfraRed Capital Partners, has agreed to sell a 30 percent stake in the Northwest Parkway toll road project for $86 million.

The Northwest Parkway is an 8.9-mile toll road that connects E-470 in the northern Denver metropolitan area to just before U.S. 36 in Broomfield, Colo. The Parkway consists of four lanes, 26 structures, three major interchanges, four ramp plazas and four mainline toll plazas.

HICL first invested in it in December 2016. Following the disposal, which is slated for June, HICL will retain a 23.3 percent stake in the project.

The proceeds from the sale will be used to fund HICL’s investment in Altitude Infra, a French fiber-to-the-home platform.
