Hermes GPE has appointed Hamish de Run, who previously served as a partner at the company, to head of infrastructure.
In his new role, he will lead the existing infrastructure team, taking over for Peter Hofbauer, who will leave the company, effective immediately.
De Run was involved in the deployment of the HIF I fund, which closed in 2015 with £1.2 billion ($1.5 billion) in capital commitments. HIF I invests across core and value-add strategies.
In March 2017, a consortium comprising Hermes first infrastructure fund acquired a 61 percent stake in National Grid’s U.K. gas distribution business for £5.4 billion ($6.9 billion). The fund is now fully deployed.
De Run also sat on the investment committee from 2012 to 2017, when he resigned from his role as partner to pursue interests outside the sector, according to Inframation.
