Harbert Management Corp. (HMC) has acquired Mid-Georgia Cogen, a 317-megawatt dual-fuel, combined-cycle, cogeneration facility in Kathleen, Ga., expanding its portfolio of power-generation assets.
Mid-Georgia Cogen is located just south of Warner Robins, Ga., and provides reliable power generation to the region. Having come online in 1998, the plant has operated under a long-term power-purchase agreement with (PPA) Georgia Power and has secured a new 20-year PPA with Georgia Power that will begin in 2028.
