Guardian Capital Group has launched a new direct private infrastructure investment business, Guardian Smart Infrastructure Management (GSIM).
GSIM will focus on investing in opportunities and projects to enhance the productivity of new and existing global infrastructure assets by integrating technological innovations.
Robert Mah and Christopher Lee, infrastructure investors who have collectively managed more than $15 billion of direct infrastructure investments globally, have been selected to lead GSIM’s investment team.
Mah said their focus will be on applying proven, value-enhancing technologies to existing infrastructure and greenfield assets, thereby increasing efficiencies and revenues. He believes Guardian’s resources and relationships will enable them to accelerate a smart-infrastructure strategy alongside strategic partners, and pursue direct opportunities globally in digital infrastructure assets and companies.
