GRESB and IIGCC launch net-zero investment framework for infrastructure assets

GRESB and the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) have collaborated on a new approach to assessing the alignment of infrastructure assets with the Net Zero Investment Framework (NZIF) 2.0, the most widely used tool by investors to develop individual net-zero strategies and energy-transition plans.

The project builds on the completion of a pilot launched in May, which tested the application of NZIF criteria across a diverse group of participants working with infrastructure assets and established a foundation for broader implementation of the approach as part of the 2026 GRESB Infrastructure Standards.
