Greencoat U.K. Wind has acquired a wind farm in Northern Ireland. Greencoat acquired the Brockaghboy wind farm from ERG Power Generation for approximately £163 million ($226 million).
Brockaghboy is located roughly 30 miles east of Derry in Northern Ireland. The wind farm has a capacity of 47.5 megawatts.
“2017 was a busy year for us and it is great to start 2018 with the acquisition of a 100 percent ownership stake in a brand new, good sized, very high load factor wind farm, from very experienced developers,” said Tim Ingram, chairman of UKW for Brockaghboy.
