Renewable-energy producer Greenalia has advanced in the processing of two new onshore wind farms in Spain, totaling 75 megawatts.
The wind farms, Restelo and Monteiro, will require an investment of around €60 million ($61 million).
The 42-megawatt Restelo Wind Farm will be installed in the municipalities of A Fonsagrada, Baleira and Becerreá, and the 33.6-megawatt Monteiro wind farm will be installed in the municipalities of Baralla, Baleira and Becerreá. The wind farms will produce green energy equivalent to the consumption of more than 55,000 families and will avoid putting 90,000 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Both projects, with their respective environmental impact studies, have now been submitted to public exhibition.
