Italian alternative investment operator Green Arrow Capital (GAC) has agreed to purchase the Luxembourg funds of Quercus Investment Partners, bringing the company’s renewable assets under management to 400 megawatts.
GAC will acquire the management company Quercus Assets Selection Sàrl (QAS) for an undisclosed price, an acquisition that the fim says helps it establish itself among the top 10 operators in Europe.
For Quercus, the sale completes phase one of its European investment strategy, where it will return to invest in new subsidy-free assets among other investment products.
Quercus has raised and invested five funds dedicated to renewable energy active in Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Romania and Bulgaria. Its Luxembourg platform, Quercus Assets Selection, manages more than 320 megawatts of installed capacity split between photovoltaic (PV) and wind through its five separate vehicles.
