Goldman Sachs’ infra division picks up RWE Americas’ U.S. distributed generation business

Infrastructure at Goldman Sachs Alternatives has agreed to acquire the U.S. distributed clean-energy business of RWE Americas, a power provider in the United States. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The business is composed of approximately 348 megawatts-dc (308 megawatts-ac) of operating assets across 16 states and a development pipeline of 1.2 gigawatts. After closing, the DCE business will continue to provide operations and maintenance, asset management and development activities.

RWE Americas owns and operates a portfolio of 13 gigawatts of power projects across 27 U.S. states and is investing in the continued growth of its portfolio to deliver the energy solutions needed to meet America’s rapidly growing demand for reliable and affordable electricity​.
