Global Infrastructure Partners promotes six to partner

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has promoted six new partners: Ari Droga, Ronnie Hawkins, Gregg Myers, Russell Smith, Virasb Vahidi and Adrian Witherow.

Droga joined GIP in 2008 and established the firm’s Australia office. With more than 30 years of infrastructure and M&A experience, he focuses on the transport and energy sectors and led GIP’s investments in the Port of Brisbane, NSW Ports and Sydney Airport.

Hawkins joined GIP in 2018, bringing nearly 30 years of investment banking, private equity and business development experience in the energy sector. Based in New York, Ronnie leads GIP’s Latin America investing activities, leading GIP’s investments in Saavi Energia and Atlas Energy. Previously, he was a managing director at EIG Global Energy Partners, as well as Harbour Energy, and also has worked at GE, Credit Suisse and Citigroup.

Myers joined GIP in 2007 and serves as the CFO of the GIP funds. He is based in New York and was previously a
