Glennmont Partners from Nuveen Infrastructure has made its first investment in a significant risk transfer (SRT) transaction on the heels of completing the €250 million ($243 million) first close of its newly launched energy-transition enhanced credit II strategy (ETEC II).
The transaction is structured on a €1 billion ($974 million) reference portfolio, held by a top-tier European bank, comprising more than 75 loans diversified across five European countries. The portfolio covers a range of sustainable infrastructure sectors, including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar PV, solar CSP, and digital infrastructure.
“This transaction offers Glennmont’s investors exposure to a highly diversified portfolio and a hedge to inflation with potential upsides in the current interest rate environment,” said Claudio Vescovo, fund manag
