Global Infrastructure Partners is said to have plans to sell Edinburgh Airport this year with a £2 billion ($2.5 billion) price tag, according to media outlets.
GIP acquired the airport from BAA for £807 million ($1 billion) in 2012.
GIP has been actively selling its airport assets. Last year, GIP sold a 50.01 percent stake in Gatwick to France-based Vinci for £2.9 billion ($3.7 billion). And in 2016, GIP sold London City Airport to a Canadian consortium for £2 billion ($2.6 billion).
