Gaw Capital Partners has entered into a strategic partnership with Sinar Primera, an Indonesia-based developer of new economy real estate, to develop a data center in Batam, Indonesia.
This new facility, located in Nongsa Digital Park, will be a single-story building offering up to 6 megawatts of critical IT load. GAW Capital Partners said the data center campus will enable the near-shoring strategy for data center operators based in Singapore and fortify the “digital bridge” that connects Singapore and Indonesia. Phase 1 of the campus is scheduled to be operational by fourth quarter 2024.
With Gaw Capital as the primary investor, Sinar Primera will acquire a minority shareholder stake in the property and take on the role of development manager for the project.
