Foresight Group strengthens infrastructure pipeline

Foresight Group said it has deployed more than £90 million ($122 million) across its infrastructure and private equity businesses as of the third quarter of fiscal year 2022. The firm also made its first investment into geothermal heat generation in Europe, a new asset class for Foresight.

In a quarterly report, Foresight said the pipeline for deployment and new fund opportunities remains strong through the remainder of this financial year and into fiscal year 2023.

In other news, Foresight has raised £130 million ($176 million) for its first dedicated forestry fund, which was listed in November 2021.

“The outlook for sustainable infrastructure investment and regional private equity investment in the U.K. remains favorable,” said Bernard Fairman, executive chairman of Foresight Group. “Foresight has a strong pipeline of new launches and deployment opportunities for the final quarter of the year and into FY23 which provides us with considerable confidence
