Filipino telecom provider considers sale of data centers

by Kali Persall

Globe Telecom, the largest telecommunications provider in the Philippines, is mulling the sale of its data centers in a deal that could fetch $200 million, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.

The company is reportedly working with an adviser on the potential sale; however, there is no guarantee a deal will be reached.

Globe Telecom is a provider of telecommunications services in the Philippines, supported by AutoloadMax retailers, distributors and business partners nationwide. The company operates mobile, fixed-line and broadband networks in the country, providing communications services to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, and corporates and enterprises.
