A contract has been awarded to Everbright Water for a CNY668 million ($97 million) industrial wastewater treatment public-private partnership (P3) project in Shandong, China, according to InfraPPP.
The project aims to provide industrial wastewater treatment services to enterprises located in the Western Shandong Economic Development Zone of Shen County.
Everbright Water, which specializes in wastewater treatment in China, will hold a 98 percent equity interest for 30 years.
The scope of work includes the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, 38 kilometers (23.6 miles) of pipeline networks and a pumping station. The project will be constructed in two phases and have a combined daily wastewater treatment capacity of 60,000 cubic meters (2.1 million cubic feet).
