The Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) of the State of Hawaii recently launched an RFP seeking a real assets investment consultant.
As of Dec. 31, ERS Hawaii’s investment portfolio was valued at more than $22.5 billion. The pension fund’s investment portfolio is managed by more than 54 investment firms in a combination of separate and commingled accounts, according to the RFP. The real assets investment consultant will review the performance of the real assets managers and the real assets program for ERS Hawaii and will also provide coverage for real assets, such as timber, infrastructure and agriculture/farmland, in addition to real estate.
