Equitix, a small to mid-market infrastructure investor, has announced its partnership with HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment firm, in Calisen, a U.K. smart meter platform.
HarbourVest’s investment in Calisen was completed via a secondary transaction and will help accelerate the deployment of smart metering technology across the United Kingdom, supporting the energy transition, enhancing network efficiency and enabling households to better manage energy consumption.
The commitment strengthens Equitix’s ability to support high quality U.K. infrastructure platforms that deliver resilient, stable, and inflation-linked returns, while providing HarbourVest with exposure to a mission-critical energy asset generating long-dated, with attractive cash yield.
