Equitix has secured €500 million ($567.3 million) of project financing with UniCredit to support the next phase of development of its Spanish renewable energy hybridization platform, reinforcing its commitment to scalable, integrated energy infrastructure and its continued growth in Europe.
The transaction marks a key milestone in the scaling of the platform, providing long-term financing to advance multiple projects. The financing will support the construction of a portfolio of onshore wind farms and co-located solar PV hybridization projects across Spain, developed under a framework agreement with Capital Energy, and reflects Equitix’s conviction in solutions that improve the efficiency, flexibility and resilience of renewable generation systems.
The hybridization platform currently comprises 200 megawatts of operational assets, with 220 megawatts under construction and a pipeline of approximately 1 gigawatt. By integrating wind, solar and batteries, the platform
