Equitix has invested in the 330-megawatt Gode Wind 1 offshore wind farm, located 45 kilometers (28 miles) in the German sector of the North Sea. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The wind farm, which consists of 55 turbines, is part of a multi-farm development for Godes 1, 2 and 3 — of which the combined renewable-energy capacity will be 900 megawatts upon completion.
This investment marks Equitix’s 13th offshore wind farm acquisition in Europe and represents a wider expansion into the offshore wind sector.
