Madison Energy Infrastructure, an EQT portfolio company, has launched a community infrastructure initiative with plans to develop an additional 1 gigawatt of distributed energy capacity by 2028.
The initiative will seek to mobilize up to $2 billion in capital to help meet AI’s growing demand for power and bring distributed energy infrastructure to scale, while creating and delivering benefits for communities. This builds on Madison’s projects already under way with businesses, utilities, data centers and municipalities deploying solar and energy storage solutions.
