Eni Plenitude has signed an agreement to acquire the entire capital of PLT (including PLT Energia, SEF and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates), an integrated Italian group producing electricity from renewables and supplying energy to retail customers.
PLT and SEF together represent one of the largest Italian groups active in the energy sector. They are committed in the development, construction and management of energy production plants from wind, photovoltaic and biomass sources, as well as in the sale of electricity and gas to the retail market.
The acquisition consolidates a vertically integrated platform that includes more than 400 megawatts of assets (primarily wind) in Italy, with 80 percent already operational and 20 percent under construction, and 1.2 gigawatts of projects (primarily wind) under development in Italy and Spain, 60 percent of which are in the advanced maturity stage.
