French utility Engie and Moroccan energy company Nareva have won the bid for a 120-megawatt solar photovoltaic park in Tunisia, according to several news sources.
According to PV Tech, the companies now have the greenlight to will develop, design, fund, build, run and maintain the utility-scale solar plant under a 500-megawatt IPP solar tender launched in May 2019.
Once operational, the facility will be capable of generating enough electricity to power more than 100,000 local homes per year.
