ENGIE North America has expanded its partnership with Ares Management Infrastructure Opportunities funds with the addition of a new 900-megawatt portfolio of solar and storage assets in the United States.
The portfolio consists of three solar projects in operation across The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and MISO, the electric grid operator for the central United States, as well as one colocated battery storage project in ERCOT. ENGIE will retain a controlling share in the portfolio and will continue to operate and manage the assets.
Based in Houston, ENGIE North America is a regional hub of ENGIE, a major player in the energy transition. ENGIE currently has more than 11 gigawatts of renewable production in operation or construction across the United States and Canada.
