Enfinity Global has signed a long-term solar power-purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft to commercialize 34 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity per year in Italy.
The contract complements the closing of additional 191 gigawatt-hours in January. The total clean-energy contract — totaling 225 gigawatt-hours per year — will be produced by a 134-megawatt utility-scale solar portfolio, located in the province of Viterbo. Once operational, the energy produced will be enough to power 85,000 homes and offset 91,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Enfinity Global has closed €22.6 million ($24.8 million) in financing with Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and BayernLB for the construction of a 22-megawatt, utility-scale solar power plant that will serve the new PPA.
