Eneco has appointed As Tempelman, a vice president at Royal Dutch Shell in Singapore, as CEO and chairman of Eneco’s management board.
Tempelman succeeds Ruud Sondag, who stepped down from his position on March 25, following the completion of the sale of Eneco shares to a consortium consisting of Mitsubishi Corp. and Chubu Electric Power.
“We are delighted to have found a very competent new CEO in As Tempelman, who will continue and further develop Eneco’s sustainable strategy,” stated Mel Kroon, chairman of the supervisory board. “He has made his mark as an entrepreneurial and visionary leader who focuses on strategy implementation and improvement of the operating result.”
Tempelman has worked at Royal Dutch Shell since 2016, where he is responsible for the integrated gas ventures in the Middle East and Asia. Prior to that, Tempelman led Shell’s lubricants, wholesale fuels,
