EIG and Aramco collaborate on energy investment

EIG, an institutional investor to the global energy and infrastructure sectors, has penned an agreement with Aramco to collaborate on future energy projects.

The parties will look to pursue investment opportunities in projects that advance their shared sustainability objectives, including in existing and new technologies such as alternative fuels, carbon capture, hydrogen and natural gas, transportation, and energy storage.

With $25 billion of assets under management as of March 31, EIG specializes in private investments in energy and energy-related infrastructure on a global basis. EIG has committed $40.1 billion to the energy sector through 380 projects or companies in 38 countries on six continents throughout its 40-year history.

EIG’s clients include many of the leading pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds in the United States, Asia and Europe.
