Ecorodovias, a Brazillian transport company, has secured a contract for the BR-364/365 highway project, which will connect the cities of Uberlândia, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, and Jataí, in the Brazilian state of Goiás, according to InfraPPP.
Under the contract, Ecorodovias will deliver a 437-kilometer (271-mile) highway, along with access points and loops, buildings and terrain, lanes, a hard shoulder and various other elements, under a 30-year concession period.
The project also includes the construction of seven toll plazas.
The project is valued at BRL 4.57 billion ($1.13 billion), split between BRL 2.06 billion ($507 million) for works and BRL 2.51 billion ($618 million) for operating costs.
Ecorodovias beat out Silva & Bertoli Empreendimentos and Way Consortium, comprising construction companies that made up the former MGO and the logistics company GLP.
